Estancia Pueblo Residence

UDA’s signature Organic Pueblo-style flows seamlessly between indoor and outdoor living in this North Scottsdale custom home.

Estancia Pueblo was inspired by the desert and naturally immerged from the surrounding landscape. The sloping lot presented a handful of challenges and ultimately required a two-story solution. We decided the show garage would work best at ground level, and the main house should be elevated to capture city and sunset views to the south, along with golf and mountain views to the north.

Visitors enter the residence through a courtyard, welcomed by a cozy fireplace and bubbling water feature. The walls of the main living space invite you in with curves and warmth, which then lead you to the great room with its spectacular view of Pinnacle Peak. Undulating plaster walls open up to reveal the dining room, kitchen, and hearth room at the heart of the home. The master wing is set just off the main great room with a den, private his and her baths, laundry room, and impressive patio with beehive fireplace. The guest wing is up a half flight of stairs on the opposite side of the house, giving a nice getaway for guests of all ages with a private sunset patio, generous bedrooms with on-suites, and kids’ nook.

UDA’s signature Organic Pueblo-style flows seamlessly between indoor and outdoor living, which creates ideal spaces for family and entertaining. The open floorplan effortlessly connects the areas with large glass walls and easy to operate French doors. Spaces are then defined by interesting ceiling treatments and a southwest material palette of rough sawn wood elements, natural stone, earth plaster, and clay tile. Every nuance of this home is expertly crafted with a mix of handmade rustic pieces and sophisticated finishes, showcasing great local talent.
