Lee Hutchison: Partner Architect
Lee oversees client contact and design for Urban Design Associates. He makes himself available to provide construction administration service for those clients who desire his ongoing presence and observation during construction.
He is instrumental in guiding the long-range vision of the growth and direction of the firm. The firm primarily specializes in high-end, custom, residential design ranging in construction costs of one million to ten million dollars. Over the past forty years, Lee has designed over 500 custom residences. Away from the office, Lee enjoys traveling with Laurel, photography, and getting out into the desert.
Jessica Hutchison-Rough: Partner Architect
Jessica’s interests are in the area of project design development, client relationships, sustainable build projects, and development projects. She oversees the production of all phases of construction documents at UDA, and she has a wide range of experience in Custom Residential Design, Multi-Family Residential, Hotel/Mixed Use, Commercial Tenant Improvements, and Building Restoration ranging from 2000 sq. ft. to 70,000 sq. ft. Jessica has served as LEED project prime consultant on projects in Vancouver, British Columbia and Scottsdale, Arizona. She is a past member of the City of Scottsdale’s Development Review Board and the current ARA Competition Chair for Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. When not at UDA, Jessica is a fantastic cook and enjoys hiking, yoga, and spending time with family.
Laurel Hutchison: Financial Management/Consultant
Laurel’s current involvement in the firm centers on the day-to-day function and financial management. Before UDA, she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in education from Arizona State University and was a teacher at the Cartwright School District and Maricopa Country Accommodation School District. She has been part of UDA from its inception to the present day and has a vital interest in the health and well-being of the employees, the company, and the clients. As “Mother,” both inside and outside of the office, Laurel is the best grandma around, enjoying time with her grandkids.
Aaron Suhr: Senior Project Manager
For the past 16 years, Aaron has been overseeing the development of construction documents, ensuring they meet all code and municipality requirements. When he’s not busy making sure our documents are of the highest quality, he is answering our computer questions as our unofficial “Tech Guru.” In 1994, Aaron came to The Valley and later graduated from the University of Advancing Computer Technology with his AS in computer design with an emphasis on architecture. In his “off time,” he enjoys long distance bike riding and the random running race or triathlon.
Lidia Quintanilla: AA, Architectural Associate
Lidia has a strong passion and appreciation for design and detail. This comes in handy when she is creating our 3D models and renderings. She received her BA in architecture and urban design and her licentiate degree from the Laureate International Universities: Latina University of Costa Rica and she is a member of the National Association of Engineers and Architects of Costa Rica. Besides work, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping/hiking, running, and cooking. She is currently studying for the Architect Registration Examination and loves how much new information she is learning.
Brandon Overstreet: Architectural Drafter
Brandon helps prepare all of our presentational drawings for clients and construction documents, along with creating 3D models using Revit and SketchUp. He graduated in 2015 with his BA in architecture from Arizona State University. In his free time, he loves spending time with his two beautiful children and amazing wife and is either playing or watching sports.
Caitlin Jackson: Marketing / Executive Administrator
Caitlin is the resident Jack-of-all-trades since she assists any department that needs an extra hand. From social media marketing and creating magazine ads to completing forms and ordering supplies, she is always available where we need her. Before UDA, she graduated magna cum laude from Scottsdale Community College with an AA in fine art and then proceeded to graduate cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in sustainability with a sustainable energy, materials, and technology focus, along with a minor in landscape architecture. When she’s not working, you can usually find her creating/drawing, playing the piano, or exploring the great outdoors.
Dana Fife: Consulting Architect
Dana continues at Urban Design Associates as our quality control consultant. He ensures all code requirements are being met by the staff and keeps our documents consistent and of the highest professional quality. He received his AA degree in architectural drafting and fine art from Phoenix College and graduated with his BA in architecture from Arizona State University. Out of the office, Dana is traveling with his horses.
