Sustainability / LEED

Today’s sophisticated homeowner requires more than the latest technology and sustainable building materials. We strive to create homes to support modern lifestyles that blend harmoniously into the natural surroundings. We do not compromise good design to make it “green;” we design sustainable homes because it is good design. It is not an aesthetic, it is a philosophy to incorporate smart, functional, healthy, site friendly designs.

What Sustainable Luxury means to us:

  • The site comes first.  We spend time on the land, in the space, and with the physical and natural elements.  We work with the palette that is already in place to inform our design work.
  • Timeless design has the best life cycle cost.  It does not matter if you incorporate the newest technology and most sustainable materials if the overall composition of the home will not be valued in 10, 20 or 30 years.  Proportion and scale are the best tools for sustainability.
  • Spaces function for your lifestyle and systems are easily replaceable.
