UDA is always a proud sponsor of Design for Dogs, but this year, with the help of Manship Builders, Quail Hill Interiors, Steel & Stone, and PAV, we were able to participate in the actual dog house competition. Not only was designing and building our dog house a lot of fun but, the main event, on February 21st, was also fabulous. Between the food, drinks, and puppy kissing booth, it’s safe to say Design for Dogs 2020 was a success!
“From the beginning, we wanted to combine organic form with contemporary design. It was important to us that the dog house be aesthetically appealing while still feeling warm and inviting. Ultimately, we designed a table with a metal surface, wooden slats, battery-operated lighting, and an ultra-plush pillow. The nature-inspired wave shape will leave your dog feeling cozy and secure.”
More About The Event…
Design for Dogs is a custom dog house design + build competition, silent auction, and most importantly, a fundraiser for Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA! Hosted by Facings of America since 2015, this dog-centric architectural event showcases one-of-a-kind dog house creations by local architects, interior designers, builders, and industry partners.
This family-friendly event has something for everyone… food, music, beer and wine tasting, local vendor booths, learning opportunities for adoption and animal advocacy, a puppy kissing booth, AND… some lucky winners get to go home with cool, new custom homes for their furry friends!
