UDA is getting crafty!
Even when we are supposed to be relaxing, everyone here at UDA is still all about architecture. Children and adults alike have been staying busy with architecture-inspired crafts. It wasn’t enough to just find them online, we all wanted to create them too!
Dexter decided to create his very own Doodle Paper Dolly House. With the help of downloadable, PDF worksheets from the Doodle Institute, he was able to color and assemble his home. The worksheets may have provided a template, but he was able to make it his own through vibrant color choices and patterns!
Caitlin, our resident crafting guru, had to get creative when it came to supplies. She was able to take an old holiday box, tissue paper, glue, and black paint, and turn them into a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired “stained glass window. Slide the arrows back and forth to see before and afters.”
Nico and Sam took their Lego building to the next level! If you peruse the carousel, you will notice the Venice skyline (with a few additions like the St. Mark’s Cathedral and Space Needle), the Eiffel Tower next to a McDonald’s, the Sydney Opera House, and the beginnings of their very own city. Besides architecture, it looks like they might also have a knack for community planning!
